The EEOC

Back in October of 2003 I was terminated from my police job in the City of Ecorse by the City Attorney, Mayor and the Chief of Police. I must add that in one year the city attorney and mayor forced 4 command officer into retirement (that includes the chief of police) they forced 2 probationary officers into resignment and terminated three other probationary officers. All for which were hired under the former mayor and chief. They also terminated a non-probationary officer for being charged with a crime. However, the Sgt. has had domestic violence complaints made against him by his wife has been slipped under the rug. Does that have to do with his close personal relationship with the city attorney? The union president recieved a promotion (ignoring the contract) looking past officers more senior then he. The Chief was hired in and is a personal friend to the city attorney and mayor and resigned after only 7-8 months as chief in 2004-2005. The city hired a new chief who resigned after only 3 months due to the corruptness and his conscious. They reinstated Anthony as chief. City counsel just voted the city attorney out of office and the chief is said to be taking his spot. That was three chiefs in less then a year and 11 officers in a year. What is going on with this city.

I made a complaint witht he EEOC. I know I sound like a disgruntled employee but I am not. I am frustrated that someone messed with my career and had not right to do so. They did not terminate the other probationary officers that violated the same policy and in some cases depleted their sick and comp time. To make things worse....an officer that went on stess leave spoke to the chief of police at the time had asked for a copy of his records. The chief stated to the officer that he would try to get a copy of his records before they were altered. On top of that another officer caught a ordinance officer in the chiefs office going thru the file of an officer that had been terminated. If she was going thru his file what other files had she been going thru. IT is illegal for her to be going thru them.

I can not find anyone to investigate this.

I spoke to the person from the EEOC who is investigating this and she stated that she has requested numersous times and has not received any of the information. She has spoke to the chief who has given several dates in which she would receive the information and the last was on 11/14/05. She did not receive the information. I advised her that the files may be being altered.
I will be writing her a letter, having it notorized in regards to our conversation. I have done it several times. Paper trail. You must notorized everything. It is admissable in court. Fax it and mail it or one or the other.

I am frustrated.....but will not give up.
